Virtual Field Trips

http://teach123-school.blogspot.com/2012/10/virtual-field-trips.html

There are places all over the world that we would love to take our class to but can't because it would be illegal to put them on a plane and take them and I don't think they make permission slips for that ;).  This blog has a list of great virtual field trips that the kids would love.  They will be able to see places all over the country like NASA or the Australian Zoo.  These field trips are great for those rainy or snowy days where you and your class needs something a little special.

  1. Virtual fieldtrips sound like an awesome experience. I looked at the list that you posted and there are a great deal of historical sites for kids to see and learn about. I grew up in the midwest so traveling to the east coast to see all the neat sites near Boston and New York wasn't possible. Now I live here, and I have seen A LOT of the tourist sites and historical areas that my boyfriend often says, "We were here on a fieldtrip when I was little..." I always think how neat it must have been and how much more powerful learning would be when kids get to see the real thing and not see a picture on a page. Hopefully you have a chance to try some of the field trips!
